Following my doctors orders I went to my local fleamarket this morning and did a little bit of walking in order to get the blood circulating in my left leg. This is necessary, despite the pain, as I have a blood clot in that leg. One aspirin a day, hot compresses, a little more exercise and then prop it up during periods of rest. My doctor hopes that will be enough to break it up without breaking free and killing me. Old age is such fun.

Most of the dealers at the fleamarket do not have coins or tokens, however today there was one dealer that I've not seen before and he had five coins. Two of them were SBA's, labeled a wide and a close rim. At $10 for the pair, I wasn't interested.

He also had a Civil War token for $15 but it was corroded. He had another nice token dated 1906 but someone drilled a hole in that one. The last one he had was a nice token of Mackinac Island in Michigan. It's fairly new but it's in good shape and it was only a dollar so I bought it.

Below are pictures of both sides and the last picture is so you can see the 2x2 cardboard holder it's in. I've never seen a 2x2 holder like this one but at the very top of the holder it's a small tab making it easier to pull out if it's put in a sheet protector. Thought that was kind a neat and clever idea.

Many years ago I was able to go to Mackinac Island. I then drove across the bridge and disappeared into the wilderness. I drove across highway 8 in Wisconsin. It's a beautiful area and I highly recommend going here if you're ever in that area.
