Machine doubling or not?

1969 s Proof struck US quarter. I haven't found a way to take good closeup photos, yet. It shows doubling on all text except the mint mark. The doubling does not, to me, look like a shelf-like doubling. I have some photos from a magnifying lens that seems to show depth to the doubling, and the mint mark shows none. I'm having a hard time convincing myself it's machine doubling...thoughts? 20200501_165558.jpg

Proof coins are struck twice. That is how they get their proof appearance.

Yes, I had forgotten. The mint mark not showing doubling baffles me, though.

Not a Mint error. Normal for a proof.
