    Nevadabell A picture of me.

I remember watching the show back in 2012 when Chambers was still there. Gosh how times have changed.

just revel in the fact that all our eyes are "open" and that we do not fall prey to such nonsense. If only the general public could see that then this guy would not be on T.V. Educate your loved ones!

Why not, there probably is lake front property on Montana. I would bet they probably have some lakes in Montana, and lakes can have beaches. Beach front is not synonymous with ocean front.

Can you surf on a beach in Montana ? That's how I equate what a beach is.

This may be true and it is very unfortunate that many uninformed folks get sucked in to this garbage.
And only years later when them same folks that try and sell it to a dealer or at a show learn for the very first time they've been suckered.

My biggest issue of the many I have with Mike Meezak is when he sells his Silver Dollars he says "keep in mind folks these are SOLID SILVER" then he goes into his 100+ year old rhetoric crap.

Might as well add another peeve.

When he starts stammering & stuttering about low mintage perfect 70 speech exclusive to us (coin vault aanacs labeling).
    It goes something like this.
Folks uh,uh,umm, I cant, ah umm ahh stress enough ahh umm uh uh folks only 598 perfect 70's available exclusive to us (coin vault) through out of the xx,xxx mintage this is the first time (pick any low mintage modern) then says something like "folks this is uh uh uh even more rarer umm ah ah then that" verbage CRAP.

I can only take about 5 minutes of it before I want to reach through the tv and punch him in the mouth.

LMAO you know him well. I've come across the show several times, and that is exactly what he says. You can almost see his nose growing as he talks. Had a bad day, need a good laugh, watch him.

Yes, we know, because we are specialists. But the great majority do not know, and are preyed on. That does damage to our hobby, and to us as participants. Not to mention fleecing large numbers of their resources for a near worthless "investment" Newbies come here, and learn.

Yeah, Littlleton reels them in with an initial small, good deal, then cleans up on "Approval" at high prices

Littleton got me to look at their "Great" deals and I almost bought several Morgan's but a-little research proved the prices were out of bounds. But what about Heritage Auctions ? Do you experts thing their prices are in line for coins and currency ?

Since Heritage and Stacks pretty much make the market of course their prices are in line. If one over pays due to not accounting for premiums, tax, shipping, etc. it is on them not the auction houses.

Mezack has the exclusive rights to the NGC flag core which i think are really cool.
Every year the core will change slightly 18 is straight lines 19 is waving flag core and NGC is the second best grader.. He likes ANACS a lot... oh the label will always be the same too.
To many labels....and i dont see why a silver eagle is worth 10 times its worth if it comes in a package that says annual dollar set or Congratulations on it. An s mint proof silver eagle is an S mint silver eagle...I think time will prove these are coins not trading cards. The different labels are messing up the industry !!

Rick Tomaska...now has a coin show on cable...
This guy wrote the books on numismatic grading classifications such as cameo / ultra cameo etc...
    Published by Whitman books...
Best coin show ever, sells truly rare coins at truly great prices. He focuses on selling the best examples at the lowest prices and his focus is on future value... the coins that are able to be bought now for a reasonable price vs. future value will return.
I have had my laptop on my lap while he was on and could not beat his pricing on ebay. His eye for raw coins is amazing and wh

Mezack has been around for years selling his overpriced wares and likely will be around for many more doing the same thing. He’ll keep selling until enough people do a bit of due diligence for themselves.

In other words, he ain’t going nowhere.

The guy is a numismatic opportunist. I’m ok with that. I buy coins locally. Get off the internet for a second and take a trip to your local coin dealer. Best deals and more honest appraisals. Mike is fantastic for the industry. I love watching the show and seeing that I have the same coin at a price much lower.

I sure miss my LCS in Washington State. Where I live now there are 2 LCS's but I won't shop in either one. I've never been in the one. It's small but in the wrong part of town. I would be mugged going to my car if my car was still there when I left. lol

The other is closer to me but they are the nastiest bunch, especially his wife. The first time I asked to see used low price silver bars and rounds. I picked out three after getting a price. She looked at them and told me they would cost more because of the design. I argued and her husband told her to let me have them at the lower price. She argued with him in front of me but I got them.

I decided to give them another try so I went back. I bought 100 Mercury junk dimes. He counted them out of a bank bag but he was abusive about the low price sale. I've never been back and I never will go back. Once home I looked them up with with the BBB. A list of complaints and also numerous complaints on the Internet about them.

There is another dealer about 40 minutes away and while I don't care for him I do stop when in that area, about once a year. The owner just sits at his desk and an employee waits on customers. Some things are not priced and when I ask the owner takes it out on the employee. I asked about a blank planchet and the owner said it couldn't be sold until he looked at it. It went back in the case. lol

If the employee can he will take care of you. I bought 200 low grade Buffalo Nickels which are poured out of a bag into a counting machine. He gave me 240 and just smiled. I got it and thanked him quietly.

Wish I had a good LCS but I've done very well buying from several mail order companies. I buy so much from the one company we know each other's voices. I can return anything I buy and don't like. You do the best you can with what you have to work with.
