This is unfortunate as a combination of the medal's surfaces and the edge marking are generally instrumental in isolating the period of manufacture.</p><p><br /></p><p>I will report back if I can find information about the edge mark that may allow a better identification of the manufacturer and date of production.</p><p><br /></p><p>In any case, a nice looking piece that would likely have some value to a collector of Louis XIV medals.
