What is the luckiest coin? I know silver sixpence are necessary for weddings, and Chinese cash of the Kangxi Emperor are very auspicious. Any other suggestions? And even thought its not quite what I'm looking for, what is your personally luckiest coin?
Good! This thread could use some pictures Dixon's double eagle More on the gold angel story: http://www.amergold.com/vault/20FrancGoldAngels.php French gold angel, 1897 Kangxi Emperor, 1667-1670 AD, Wuchang, Hebei mint. There are plenty of "Lucky Coins". Of course, I have a book on them "Collecting Lucky Coins, Tokens, and Medals" by Rita Law. She lists some "rules" for the acquisition and use of Lucky coins in the U.S.: Pick up a cent you find in the parking lot, but only if the coin is "heads up". Toss a coin into every fountain or small pond you encounter and make a wish. Keep coins that are bent, as they are especially lucky. Keep coins with significant dates on them, such as your anniversary, birthday, or the birthdays of your children. Keep the first coin you ever earned. Never spend the very last coin in your pocket.
