$24.95 each. I don't recall the selling price on the Mint's website, so I don't know if this is higher or lower or the same.

NOTE: Anyone going to the Mint gift shop to buy these, if you haven't been there before, you have to go thru a security thing, i.e. put all metal items thru a scanning machine. I hate doing all that just to get into the gift shop. but because I've been there before and I think the security folks recognize me, I can joke with them a tiny bit.

Do you have to pay sales tax?. Online purchase. We have to pay shipping charge $4.95.

The Mint gift shop charged no tax because there is no tax on coin sales in PA.

So, I didn't do too bad, got one off fee-bay for $26 including shipping.

I think the initial mint offer is below $20.

Yeah, but carry a commemorative coin in your pocket, and when giving change at the checkout, you will get lots of questions about 50% of the time (when the checker spots the anomaly). I just recently added a 2014 Hall of Fame dollar to my mix. Haven't made any change yet, but it's coming soon, to be sure. Not only that, but I wanna see how the concave/convex coin 'wears' in circulation. I'll bet I have no trouble photographing it when it becomes well worn. :)

Oh, and the silver eagle that I carry gets many questions regarding, and want to know what's. :)

Heck, many contemporaries hated the Morgan Dollar.......thought the eagle was scrawny. :)

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Haha, when that strange creature becomes well worn, its going to have a hole in it.

    Lowest modern commemorative

    $5 gold proof - 2016 mark twain - 13,271
    $5 gold unc - 1997 Jackie Robinson - 5,174
    $1 silver proof - 2014 civil rights - 61,992
    $1 silver unc - 1996 wheel chair - 15,325
    $0.50 clad proof - 2013 five *gen - 47,326
    $0.50 clad unc - 2016 nat'l park - 21,335

Note that the 2016 nat'l park $5 gold unc at 5,201 might fall below Jackie Robinson 5,174. Only if they are many credit card problems occur. Otherwise the above figures were the lowest mintage.

Or if enough people return some thinking they are not the key they thought they would be.

We shall see the result on next Tuesday at coinnews site.

It may take a couple weeks for the actual sales. Mine arrive today, so if I return any, they won't decrease this Tuesday's sales numbers.

Did you buy thinking it could be a new key, or just because you like the design, or what?

I was counting on a new key and I do like the design. I'm still hoping the sales decline and that I and others get a couple bad ones that get returned. If they aren't less than 69's, my coin club is lined up to buy some.

So, I know you're a speculator, how many did you buy?
