I am pretty sure these new numbers are more accurate than the preliminary ones we used earlier. This may be why the coins prices have been stagnant all year.
they cancelled my order if mintage is over what we had first figure out. then why mint cancelled my order. my oder was within the time frame. they told me it's sold out.
I think the reason might be that there was a flood of orders all at once, and the mint doesn't seem to be able to keep track of things when that happens. Just look at the Spouse coins and how they have handled that, you would think they had only expected to sell 5000 of each coin based on what they have released so far.
The 2007 W gold proof one ounce coin as a single has already sold out at 18,000, so if you add in the 19,000 4 coin sets sold so far that means there are already 37,000 proof ounce coins sold, so somebody must be hoarding these. The maximum for these is 35,000 4 coin sets or a total of 53,000 individual coins. The key one ounce proof is the 2001 with a mintage of only 24,500 or so. My numbers come from online sources BTW.
Sorry, BTW means By The way, it isn't a site. Here are the final 2006 numbers I have. one 1/2 1/4 1/10 Gold 2006 W proof 48,747 36,097 37,764 49,016 Gold 2006 W UnC 49,975 18,850 19,925 28,650 So the 1/2 and 1/4 UNC are about 52% of the proof mintage and the 1/10 is 58%. Not bad really, like I said at the end of the year I will check the mintages and see what is left to see if they will come in lower. If they do then I will buy 2007, but not now.
2006 w unc am eagle gold coins thanks centdime. by the way, do you know the exact mintage for 2006 w am eagle silver dollar?. what i knew is just rounded to 470,000. but actually is always a little bit lesser than that. also the 10,000 reverse proof gold version and the 250,000 reverse silver proof?. what are the exact mintages?.
Those are the same numbers I have all rounded to the nearest thousandth. I notice so far this year the 2007 silver eagle sales are high, the 2007 W UNC has sold 325,000 and the proof has sold 525,000. I think they will all surpass last year by quite a bit perhaps.
lowest all (w) unc series except 1/2 ounce (because we have 8-8-08 set attached). some proof. no bullion. (expect exceeding previous years).
