I thought it might be interesting to show how detecto handled his feedback left.

Don't you just love his cute follow-up!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not comparing you to the OP. Quite the opposite. Things happen. What I meant to say was your situation is different from that of the OP.

You all should go check out the other thread about the MS62 slabbed Morgan he claims did not have a pic of the front of the NGC slab with the cert.# in the listing.

Clearly he's a lier.

I found the 1887 MS62 NCG Morgan he was referring to in that thread and clearly the listing has a pic of the front of the slab with cert.# visible.

detecto- all your posts are of the same of crap. You must not understand the auction game if you have issues with every coin you purchase. Learn from all of these comments & learn a lesson from all of your threads & replies.

on another note, "coin was stolen" is a horrible reason for not being able to sell a coin. Like mentioned before, must have been too low of a final sale value for he/she to accept.

How about this one on an item listed as a BIN:

Yeah, I saw that one too, but I personally believe that seller does not deserve anything that nice - even if he is not breaking any rules.

Just wow, your not going to be around Ebay very long with the way you handle situations.

Members can certainly volunteer some personal information such as age or general location if they wish, but I think this question is one that should not be expected, especially from someone who might be a minor. I would recommend that Detecto not answer unless he is an adult.

Some indicate here and on another thread, that they are trying to "teach" an attitude change, but many of the replies seem more a "Piling on", and that doesn't teach anyone, anything other than anger. Patience and a positive explanation is needed more. Just IMO. Re-read the rules on respect for fellow members, some are getting close to the border.

Thanks

Jim

I am 19 years old.

The negative feedback was not due to the coin being "stolen". I would not of even left feedback due to that, as I don't know what actually happened on their side of the transaction.

The negative feedback was not left for the coin being out of stock. Although IT IS against eBay's rules to sell things on eBay and another place, also know as "ghosting", this was not a reason for leaving negative feedback.

The reason I left negative feedback is because of the sarcasm and snarkyness me and many other buyers were left by this seller.

Buying coins is a professional trade. Being sarcastic and snarky when handling a sale will not be tolerated.

I told the seller I would pay in one week. If the seller TRULY felt like this would be to long, then they should have contacted me and said this would be too long, and went ahead and cancelled the sale.

However the seller emails me saying it was "stolen", then goes to say it "may of been stolen", then goes to say "it may of sold at a show and I forgot to remove it.".

I TRULY did have the money at time of purchase, but an issue happened and I had to spend the money, not leaving enough for the coin. I got enough money again, but the coin was "stolen".

But that is not what you said in your feedback;
So you either lied in your feedback or you are lying here. It makes no difference where.

Also. it is not against eBay rules to sell a coin outside of eBay while it is listed on eBay. It is only against eBay rule to do so if the buyer found the coin on eBay.

...if the seller honored the sale and then backed out with a poor excuse, the very least he could have done was be up front and say he would not sell it due to untimely payment issues...and since you made the effort and sent communication, most would have worked with you to complete the transaction...so yeah, I probably would have done the same thing as you.
Call someone out and expect the same in turn.

Yes I know I said that in my feedback, but I would NOT of left that feedback if the seller happened to act in a more mature and professional manner. Telling someone "bless your heart" after trying to resolve an issue is childish and ignorant.
What not to do
You're not allowed to:
• List an item that may be out of stock at the time of purchase.
• List an item that you're simultaneously selling outside of eBay.
• Offer an item that may not be what's delivered to the buyer.

That is CLEARLY stated in the eBay selling policy guide. When it's for sale on eBay, it's only supposed to be for sale on eBay, and no where else. No if's and's or but's. Only if it does not sell at a show/table are you then allowed to list it on eBay, and only if it does not sell on eBay are you only then allowed to sell it at a show/table
