    Was at a pawnshop and some guy was selling one with 1/4 of the coin sanded off.

    I once saw a 1907 high relief that the owner had taken a wire wheel buffer to half an hour before he brought it into the coin shop. BU/AU before, details F after. Made a collector want to cry.....

    Was it the 1/4 where the COPY stamp had been? I've seen replicas where someone actually tried to do that... :rolleyes:
