I recently bought some rolls and there are a lot of beautiful coins that appear to be uncirculated. Is there anything I should look for? What should I do with all these pretty pennies to preserve them and keep them in good condition?

Aside from obvious errors there could be die varieties to look for but this is a tedious process so I would only do it if varieties are of interest to you.

The best thing you can do to preserve them is avoid touching them with your bare fingers, putting them in hard plastic tubes and then taping the ends shut. With that said, if these coins are in original wrappers and have bank locations or other interesting information imprinted on them then you may just want to leave them alone and untouched as you've found them.

There were just about TWICE AS MANY 1964/1964D pennies minted as there were people on earth, at that time:

    2648575000 + 3799071000 = 6,447,646.000 (over 17 million per day).
World population at end of 1964, est. 3,261,000,000 (Google).

I wouldn't put them in holders. Maybe closely inspect them and look for the most pristine example. A 5x magnifier can help find imperfections. Put 3 or 4 in holders, tube the rest. I might even just spend them, since rolls of those dates aren't worth much

Well.... its more about preserving them to me rather than what they are worth... I try to preserve any old coins I can find regardless of value... lol... I have lots of 2x2s lol

Yeah, I understand. I'm the same way with foreign coins. We are definitely doing our best to preserve history!
