I’m waiting for this lot to arrive this week:

ROMAN. Imperial. Lot of twenty (20) Æ Sestertii. Includes: various types and rulers. Fine to VF. LOT SOLD AS IS, NO RETURNS. Twenty (20) coins in lot.

Bit of a risk since I can only see 6 of the 20. With juice about $66 a piece. But I previously owned no Sestertii and now I have a small collection.

I’ll post some pics when they arrive so you can all judge how I did.

The anticipation is the best part. I might just hold the package for a while when it arrives.

The photo really gets curiosity up since the six coins shown are all different rulers. I doubt that means it was a collection but probably means the seller picked those six rather than using random pick. I will be anxious to see the other coins and the reverses of these.

Great find @Nicholas Molinari - don't see such lots for sale very often and you'll be well-established as a sestertii collector. I hope a Didius Julianus or Pertinax shows up in the bunch, as they say, you never know!

Who IS that at lower right? Trajan Decius?

(Every time I try to rotate my phone screen to squint at the legends, it autorotates so the guy turns upsude-down again!)

That Etruscilla looks very nice, too! I wonder what reverse type it is.

Speaking of cellphone features, see how helpful autocorrect was when I typed "upsude-down"? :banghead::rolleyes:

The Decius and Etruscilla look really nice, and then there's the Orbiana too. I love group lots and am really keen to see how this one will turn out. Fingers crossed as it's always a bit of a gamble, especially when only a few of the coins are shown. I've had some luck in the past with CNG lots; a few years ago I picked up this one:
