I went for the Hadrian with the canopic jar (want something like that, some day), the Julia Mamaea (sweet hairdo), and the William Longsword bracteate. ...I still need periodic reminders that bracteates continued at their highest artistic level well into the 13th century.

Great diverse group, all have some appeal but your Hadrian is a stand out with it's very Egyptian looks, love that reverse.

I have attached a specimen by Philippe IV of France. The Gros Tournois coin was one of the most widely copied coin of the Middle Ages--first introduced by Louis IX of France. This coin gave rise to the names Groat and Groschen. My coin is of interest because the design incorporates a 'Lis' on the end of the 'L' in PHILIPPVS (obv.). Some of these coins can still purchased from €100-€150 range and there are many minor die varieties within this series. As for preferences, I'll leave that decision for individual collectors to make for themselves. Philippe-IV_Gros-Tournois_ND_France-Tours_Münzen-Medaillen_1853.jpg

Lovely coins! I really like 1, 5 and 6. The details on the reverse, especially the she wolf ,of the City commemorative are amazing

Not only the tongue but also the horns. Hilarious coin, indeed
I love the yellow one too, for some reason... (yellow, what not to love)

Great top 9 @lordmarcovan ! The denarius of Julia Maesa is my favourite because of its toning, but the Julian siliqua and Ptolemy didrachm are close seconds! The didrachm isn't something you see every day, compared to more common tetradrachms. I know next to nothing about medieval coins, but yours have great eye appeal! Congrats!

Great coins, @lordmarcovan, the Julian with hoard provenance gets my top vote and I will add provenance to your Hadrian/Canopus (ex CNG 04.09.2019). With no text for the bracteate it is a very eye catching coin. Best wishes for 2021!

I too wanted a dated one, but settled for this undated piece because I liked the toning and the general appearance.
Thank you very much for that added information! I appreciate it.

Your Hadrian canopic jar coin is tops by a mile for me. That is a really cool coin. Great and “eclectic” list ;) :D

Killer coins LM! I've got to go with that sweetly toned bracteate and the "mad cow"!

    ...and the jar reverse!
