My moms great Aunt gave me a coin purse back when I was about 12. Her husband collected the coins in WWI, WWII and all around the world. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find the coin purse for a few years but I did just find the most exotic coin recently. I have no idea where it is from or how old it is. I'm hoping someone on here can help me identify it and its potential worth. Thanks! image1.JPG image2.JPG

It's a Chinese bronze 'cash' coin. Someone will be able to identify the date amd mint, but in general these are very common and low value. Given the number of Chinese and the very long time the coins were issued, a vast number were made.

The hole is to carry them on a string, as Chinese dress did not have pockets.
