    The way I learned to grade mercs was pouring over the Heritage archives. Soon enough you develop an eye for different MS states. With dimes, any little hit is a big hit and that is a problem. Seeing wear in AU coins is hard.

    That it was " Thread of the Week " - it isn't. The award is for Topic of the Week. So the award can only go to the person who started the thread.

    Doug, I am under no misinderstanding at all...

    the thread is called the cointalk thread of the week nominations. You interpret it any way you like but it says it in black and white and in plain english. As far as who the award goes to, you only help to make my point

    ...........i wish i could help you but i don't have the book yet but have read good things about it and saw the photo of it and posted it. i imagine amazon would have it but i think it is not available yet. i believe it's supposed to be this month, though. hth
