So the odds of Red creek bank being closed were very high. </p><p><br /></p><p>Now, since as you said, it was not a NBN, and it was in New York, i would have to assume that it was one of those banks issuing money prior to all those pesky regulations. I did find Red Creeks Charter number (10781) so that tells me they did register for a charter number sometime in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd charter period 1863-1935. Now banks who were federaly charted were allowed to print and distribute currency equal to some percentage of their deposits. Weather or not they actually did was up to them.
