look at this dime

    No that is not a Mint Error
    It is PMD - Post Mint Damage which means it was damaged after it left the Mint

    Wallace. I have been Metal Detecting for many years and I have found many coins such as your Dime in question. Usually in fields where they pass lawn mowers which would strike the coins and bend them out of shape.
