Ahhhh...the famous unsearched lot(s): - Found in the basement (like this one) - Found in a floor board - Found in the attic - Found in a retired grocer's back room - Found in the back of a bank vault - Found in (fill in your own blank) Then there are: - I don't know much about coins, but I been asked to help sell these. - Estate sale, I was looking for art when I came across this - My __ used to collect coins and his mother asked that I sell them. - 1909-S VDB, 14-D and, 31-S, and 1955 DDO all found! - Never searched, key dates found. Well my opinions are that maybe the seller did not search the lot him/herself, but more than likely it was searched and cherry picked many times before. I remember in the early 70's as a young lab, I was searching my grandmother's and her freinds mason jars for wheaties to fill my slots. I also remember keeping every "S" mint and those that were decent. My big find was a EF 1931-S and i was on top of the world. But believe me...those lots have been searched and searched and if you find something, I would love to hear about it. Could it happen? Sure...but these ebay unsearched lots are not really a good buy. Go to your local dealer and buy a bag...you probably will have better luck.
