Hey folks, it is really nice to see old friends. My son is the collector now, I am semi retired and loving life living full time in my 5th wheel. Here's a really great story ( and true ) about RLM and I. We were at a Heritage auction in Long Beach. I was buying up 1909 SVDB's for my site. RLM wandered off and I bumped into Rick Snow. Wanting to introduce the two, I kept waving for RLM to come join us. Little did I know, the auctioneer took my waves as bids, and as the hammer dropped, I had just bought an $80,000 coin! I about freaked, it was so embarrassing. Luckily, they had video or something and were able to weed out my "bids" Nevertheless, was a great time. RLM was a humble man. Intelligence beyond belief, and always kind and welcoming. We hit it off immeadiatly. Great to see you folks again. GDJMSP, I'll get with you soon thru this site. I'm off on another hot sauce adventure, my hobby for the last decade or so. Thanks friends for having me
DesertGem, hey, Quartzite is not far from you, maybe we can meet up for a cold beer and a hot Ribeye, my treat
Yeah, we missed the winter meet. If I have to go to Flagstaff on business this summer, I will let you know. I can take the north route in the summer. It will have to be a cold Diet Coke and a ribeye though Glad you are bad. Try Bunji cords to keep your hand down at auction, I got a goat that way once, decades ago at a 4-H auction Jim
