I got a problem free Philadelphia 1875 Twenty Cent Piece for my collection! Yay . Little higher grade than I wanted, but all the low graded ones I saw seemed to have some sort of damage.

 

Went to the show today (Saturday). Biggest show I've ever been to even though a noticably sizable chunk of empty tables everywhere even at 10am (opening). Sad to see that by 12:30 most of the tables up front were empty and the tables in the back were mostly busy busy busy. Better off just going to the smaller shows like Buena Vista at which those guys in the back are always at.

No coin supplies either (I like to pick up the one or two airtites I need or perhaps a DANSCO page). Smaller shows seem to have someone selling these things.

At least the Bruce Morelan Collection of Early Dollars, featuring the 1794 Specimen Dollar (better known as the first, and only, coin to reach the $10 million mark at auction) was still there on display for us peons that can't afford to take Thursday or Friday off from work.

I offered a few 40% half dollars for it but they said we were to far apart on price. Stingy bastards. I mean jeez...it had a hole right in the middle of it and they just plugged it. "Nothing to see here. Move along."

 

It had been awhile since i had gone. Like you i was also looking for a few airtites. I was also disappointed that the supply section i was used to being there was gone. I went on the first day so doubly surprised.
