he might be realizing something. a lot of his auctions were at $200,000-$300,000 and they've all dropped in price. the pictures are bigger, and the $300,000 morgan we've been picking on dropped to $6000. the prices are still ridiculous, but it's a small improvement from being ludicrous!

Are we talking about the same auction? The link took me to one with a "buy it now" price of $6,000. So the price is only $5,988 more than it's worth. (it is silver, after all).
I was sucked into an auction kinda like this for some Red Wheat penny that was slabbed and valued at something like 10,000 dollars. It was graded and slabbeb by Gallery Grading Company, a company that I have not heard of since. I got it for something like 5 bucks shipped.
