http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/867-5309/Jenny http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vlfq8ytWpxYNow you can have this stuck in your head all day too!! Sorry to hear about the OP's luck; however the serial number has provided us with lots of laugh so thanks for sharing! Hope you are able to get your money back.
Lol at the number. It really only clicks if you read it th eright way in your mind. You can fool a lot of people by giving the number as 867-5309. If you read it that way, it usually won't remind of you of the song lol.
Ohhhh LOL! I don't feel as dumb now. This is way before my time haha. Thank you all very much! Also I am glad to give you guys some laughs Edit: Oh wow just listened to the song. I have heard this one before many times. Just did not know by title. You guys apparently have good taste in music
Hmm. I think of it more as "we're all victims of early-80's radio playlists". (searches around for the "doddering old greybeard" icon...)
Presuming you bought it on eBay (and you are comfortable sharing), I would appreciate you sending a link to the auction. Thanks...MIke
Wow, they're even faking ICG slabs now? That is truly scary. Not that I could positively tell a fake NGC or PCGS slab, but I really have no faith in my skills detecting a fake ICG slab. Makes me feel much better about the ICG MS65 FSB 1945 Micro S Mercury dime that I went back and forth about at the last coin show I went to. I ended up passing on it after MUCH thought. I guess if I had more confidence in my grading skills I would have bought it. The difference between MS64 and MS65 is over $400 BTW. I wasn't going to gamble that kind of money over 1 point.
Here's the completed auction information as I could find from eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/1905-Indian-Hea...37?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item19c7b2ec1d
I didn't mind sharing the link but it seems someone beat me to it 110724574237 That is the correct one. Just on a brief look that did not raise any red flags. It still does not look to bad even now based on the sellers (intentionally?) vague pics. I just just giving him a little time to answer my email to him. If not I will claim it. I doubt I will have a hard time claiming it
I wouldn't send the coin back. When it comes to counterfiets, we have seen it before here, eBay will give your money back, but not require you to return the coin. If you do, it will just end up being sold again...
I got a message saying that I was not allowed to view the video from my area. Guess I'm on the wrong side of the tracks.
Certainly if there is any chance I can destroy this coin/slab I will jump at the chance. They will likely have me send it back to the seller. If they do I will have to comply. I do not want to destroy this bad enough to pay $400. Fakes are epidemic. We only see the bad ones too. I do wonder how many are floating around that did not get caught. Especially those Chinese counterfeiters that make the convincing PCGS slabs. All they have to do is put PQ genuine coins in a fake slab with a grade bump or two. I bet they could even make it though the major auctions. I remember a while ago I got this message from a counterfeiter I hate to see such things. There really isn't much I can do though
