I have compared this to those on Variety Vista and think it could be a RPM. However it also looks a tad mangled, despite no nearby PMD. Any help appreciated. 20191212_121617.jpg 20191212_121556.jpg 20191212_121406.jpg 20191212_121452.jpg

Looks to be more of a plating issue then a RPM.
Happens a lot on the D Mint Mark on copper plated zinc cents.

once you enter into the copper plated zinc core cents of 1982 and newer, you get all sorts of corrosion issues, such as this. The D had some Split Plating, which exposed the zinc core, which is now corroding which makes it looks "weird" and like a doubled/RPM.

Kaye your 1988 D cent will eventually end up like one I found a couple of years ago. Below is a photo of the hole where the D used to be. ;)

I looked a VV. The mint mark doesnt seem in the right place either for any except maaaaaybeee the 002 but it looks like that one is just off the correct angle too. Hard to tell without a direct overhead closer pic to line up. It has to be spot on in that same spot. The guys above are too good at this...if they say it is a freakinzincin thing then it 99.9999999% is.

Something else for fun. I like these pages you can put 2x2s in. As you can see, none of these coins have any real premium but its nice to have them labeled and easy to check out! You dont need the notes to be professional or anything....whatever makes it organized for you. I just put "die crack" or whatever on it. I keep a stapler and lots of 2x2s handy. Maybe Im a little OCD but whatever, its fun to me!! And much better than bags and jars of coins just floating around my office.
