You guys might want to watch CNN or check their website; they have full coverage on what's going on: Hurricane Tomas, one of the worst of the 2010 season, is destroying Haiti as we speak. That poor country...:so-sad:
And it has NOT made landfall yet. It is going dead in between Haiti and Cuba. Unfortunately, Haiti is on the NE side of the storm. 85 MPH winds Gusting towards 100 MPH And gaining strength.
Hurricane Tomas never made landfall. It went in between Cuba and Haiti and (to my knowledge) missed all the islands. Therefore I will draw a name sometime in the next few days. Prize will be a nice Buffalo nickel. AU I think.
Thanks for the chance. This has been an interesting and difficult contest to win. Hope I beat the pants off coinmaster1!

Park Quarters! Congratulations! Send me your adress via PM and I'll mail this out on Thursday! Look for a winter weather contest to come up in the next few months. And I will try to acquire some things this winter for an EPIC hurricane contest next summer. Thanks, Tyler
Congrats Park Quarters! :thumb: Thanks for the contest Tyler! I enjoyed this contest immensely and feel I learned a few things about tracking such storms and their formation.
You are very welcome. I enjoyed putting it on. Coins may be my hobby but weather is my passion. I learn a little bit every day. I've been active on www.talkweather.com since April and I have learned a LOT from it. Also picked up a few more sites: www.twisterdata.com www.coolwx.com Those are more in-depth stuff but excellent for making the winter weather forecasts I will ask for in the coming weeks (or months, depends on how this winter goes). Already saw snow here in NE GA (last Friday) Fun stuff.
Thanks lincolncent ive been out of town on business this past week and just found out that i won pm sent !
