Thanks everyone. I agree that toning has wayyyy more character then normal red cents. This is already a fun album to put together. Just always funds limiting lol. Need more $$$$$
Nice 16s! Not really into copper toners but BadThad got me lovin green lincolns and that's a nice one
Well done! Look at LIBERTY on that 1926-D. That doesn't look like typical strike doubling to me. Or maybe I'm just seeing things.
I just took a look at it,its more prominent in the picture then under a loupe. I see the split on the serif on the L and I,the rest I can't make out. I see what you are talking about though. Looks like a DD,but I am doubtful.
Eddiespin I already made a note of it...I want to try a different loupe, I looked at it through the album page, maybe I will take the coin out and give it a whirl. Thanks
I've got a few more since I last posted. All my wheats are now in a PCGS slab and true viewed as well. Just picked up the 43-D and 31-s
Have alot of new toners I've bought in the last year. The last 5-6 months I've knocked some hugeeeee dates off my toner set. Here are most of them.
Some of these dates are hard to find with sharp details, both on the obverse and reverse, and to find one with color on top of being sharply struck are like needles in haystack on a blue moon! Had to shell out for some of them, but IMO when looking for a certain coin for so long and you finally find it,its time to pay up.
My favorites so far are the 24-d,25-s,26-s. I need to send the 1924-d and 1919-d in for secure slabs and trueviews after I pick up a few more coins for a decent batch.
