Exactly. Clashed dies are not errors. RPMs, RPDs - not errors. Varieties.

Probably pushing 200. I collect varieties, and clashed dies are common.
Now if it is a FE Cent die clashed with a $20 Gold or Quarter die, then THAT is an error. Something different from normal operations. Just because Jenny didn't keep the chute filled with planchets doesn't make an error.

There is a big difference between posting a true error and posting clear PMD asking if it is an error or not. Keep reading and looking for that real error and you will find that the responses are easier to handle. Vice versa if you aren't understanding, then the responses get tougher until you figure it out.

I am not trying to discourage you at all. Example: My brother is always coming to me and asking about his new found treasure. 99.9% of the time he is disappointed in the end. He refuses to understand the minting process and everything that he finds has to be a mint error. He never takes into account of the abuse the coin has taken by either a parking lot, board human or just simply a parking lot. Once one understands that damage is not an error then they start understanding that errors aren't everywhere. They won't make you rich, and they are most likely found among newly minted coinage in MS/AU condition.

The Die Clash it is one of the terms of the controversy as been error or variety. If I look weel how could happened, I conclude and agree with Mike Diamond that this it is an error. Is funny how this error it is look for.

I made a the test few years ago. I done togheter with other 2 wery well reognised experts and specialists. Result: when you come to sell it say not error just event of Minting process. But same person when sell this coin go with the term Error. So it is the material interest of those buy-sell peoples who change the denomination in order to have big profit without regard of the collecting reality.
