Then he should know the value, and if he thought you meant $400, then he was out to take advantage of you.
He said he was a collector yesterday. After talking today I realize he is far from it. He just well just a lot to explain. No big deal. Think I will throw it up on eBay this weekend and see what happens. Dusty
If you have nothing better than to put me down all the time, and also ATTACK me for no reason... Get lost.
I don't so muck 'like' as I agree. Put a heavy reserve on it. These guys know better than I about fees incurred selling on eBay so reserve price will have to be higher than $4k.... Reserve of $5500 might even everything out.....
Photos are good.... I would also add individual closeups of the key dates (both obverse and reverse), and as silentnviolent stated, set a reserve of at least $5500.
Rick's not attacking you, just making reference to your post #2, where you state "the collection as a whole might not do well". Sometimes you jump the gun on your comments without waiting for proper info. Generalization doesn't work for coin collecting, but as you gain experience, you'll figure that out.
The ignore list is our friend. I only have three poster's on it, but you won't believe how many individual posts are blocked out with these three names.
Here's a little help from a YN. Don't act like a know-it-all when you don't Know-it-all... Until you learn this, you're off my friends list... And also, welcome to my ignore list.
I had a 1965 Malibu with a 427 engine that ran 10.1 seconds in the quarter mile. I told the guy on the phone how straight and clean the car was and I want 15 for it. He drove 3 1/2 hours and showed up with $1500. lol I felt bad and bought him lunch.
