I once had a proof 1909 that looked very similar to this one and it was graded questionable color details by NGC.
Those are a lot of lines on the obverse ... Hairlines or scratches dunno ... especially around the nose area where its almost grafiti'ish Color looks good to me though
Looks good to me. There may be a few scratches, but none that would/should keep it from grading. They aren't the hairlines associated with cleaning. The scratches in field in front of the nose area are one of the 1909 Proof diagnostics.
Here is one that graded PR-66, R&B. I don't see why your piece would not grade. I see some crud in a couple of letters that might lift easily before you send it in. If it does not lift with a toothpick or something, leave it.
I am certainly not as experienced as others with Lincoln cents, but the left reverse field looks a bit weird... spots removed? Also the color of the reverse doesn’t seem to match the obverse.
It's in a holder of some sort now. You can see a little extra flashing on the white plastic insert. Combined with the question being posed, I'm guessing it's in an old ANACS or really old PCI details holder. If the latter, the holder would have caused the coin to tone over any cleaning that may have been heinous at the time.
