Lincoln Cent Help - 1909

    Nice! Looks like a reasonably wholesome circulated example. Perfect? No, but decent. Absurd though it may be, the dirty crud just made it look a bit more authentic to me.

    Not really damage, I think it is considered a mint error. Whether that would add to or subtract from the value, I have no idea.

    I was concerned about the “valley” that S of the S-VDB appeared to be in; a slightly darker area. Thought it might be glued on. In the face of all the more-experienced folks who weighed in, I’m glad I didn’t post earlier.

    I was at the Greater Cincinnati Numismatic Exposition. Very nice show.
