I bought today from my local coin shop. Anyways, I have seen people do "Guess the Year" topics for wheat cents and decided to try one.

Also, Any ideas of a grade??

1917 65 or details. I cannot tell how bad that rim nick really is.

The nick is not very bad in hand, it is not very distracting either and is the same color as the rest of the coin. I did not really notice it until I had the coin for a while.

Also, I love the color on this coin, I think that it was the main reason why I bought it, call me crazy but I like brown colored lincoln cents better than bright red lincoln cents.

Here's a hint, it is before 1930 but after 1909 and not 1917

Another hint, check for VDB under the left part of the bust.

You have some kind of a trick that makes the pictures large/clear enough to see if there is a VDB? I know haw to make it large enough, but it pixelates long before any VDB appears.

No, The only thing I blocked off was the date. The problem is my images are low quality and small, taken from my phone and edited in Photoscape.

I did not say you did anything except take the picture. The picture is not large enough to find/not find the VDB.

Darn, that has strong hair for a 1910. And the grade has not changed.

Thanks, I was impressed by it's strike when I bought it, I think it's above average. Pretty happy with it, it is my first Uncirculated Wheat Cent in my collection before 1939.
