I've just recently started doing it. Have found a few things but nothing that fantastic. I've started with small cents (Lincolns) simply because it's the cheapest option at the moment. Of the $25.00 investment I usually cash-in about $21.00-$24.50 worth.</p><p><br /></p><p>There are a few places I get my coinage from: <ol> <li>Credit Unions</li> <li>Local "small" banks - senior citizens are loyal.</li> <li>Banks which has been established for more then 25 years in the same location - I love thinking about the treasures they <i>may</i> have sitting in their vault.</li> </ol><p>I've been taking my coinage to my girlfriend's bank a few towns over and they always seem to accept them. I usually end up re-wrapping them in my own coin wrappers. Most of the time someone's account number is written on them.
