Just got a 1918 cent for change and a 37. Kinda surprised but I do check the "give a cent, leave a cent"holder at local stores and scored! Well not much but does definitely keeps me looking..
The P and S are raw, so your guess is as good as mine - literally! The D was in an ANACS MS61 holder. But the obverse looks just like the MS65 I posted for reference, while the reverse actually is in better shape. (Maybe ANACS didn't like this kind of strike?) My guesses are P 64, D 65, S 64. Anyone else have opinions? (I'd have them graded if they came in a 2x2 slab; otherwise they don't fit in my trays. )
So Denver did have a decent die that year, I know Philly has her ups and downs,,and San Francisco was as well..which actually, to me, was a big surprise..great post..always great to gain knowledge.. numismatics especially..
