I thought I would make a thread about any and all limited mintage "bullion" like Chinese pandas being 6,000,000 Australian lunar series 300,000 Canadian Wildlife series 1,000,000 (each design) post the others I'm missing and I will edit this and add to the list thanks in advance
300k issue of modern coin is not limited and unlike older coins there is very little chance these coins will be lost or melted due to events like war. So there is very good chance 50 years from now the coins that are in possesion will not be much lower than 200k. One of the reasons i would never pay a high premium for modern NCLT or bullions.
As I recall, it was less than $2500. The Jefferson was less than $500. What's bullion now (since the drop)? ...about $3300 for two (2) ounces of gold? I've been beating the First Spouse drum for quite a while, but no one seems to care much for the series. I think these are beautiful coins with a numismatic value that will (one day) far surpass their bullion value. In the meantime, I'll have to gaze upon the beautiful artwork and settle for my bullion earnings (thank-you very much).
I just got a 100 Trillion Dollar note from the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe. I'm thinking of sending it to the US Mint with a note that says... "Send me one of everything you got...Keep the change!" :too-cool-for:
Hey, FryDaddyJr...don't forget Jimmy Soul's advice...
I think there is a good upside in them also. the no-spouse coins (as in the pic) already have a premium. I just have a hard time collecting them 'cause I just don't like the look of most. maybe not a good reason, but that's me.
yak you got mintages on those spouse coins? I haven't been into the spouses much but have been looking more and more at them as I'm starting to have money to be able to actually buy Gold...
Here are a few to consider adding to your list: 2009 proof Australian Kangaroo at Sunset, one ounce silver - 4,000 minted 2010 proof Australian Kangaroo at Sunset, one ounce silver - 5,000 minted 2011 proof Australian Kangaroo at Sunset, one ounce silver - 5,000 minted

IMO 5 years down the road First Spouse will be selling at spot price even the 69,70s will sell at premium but not at these current levels.
I agree. I only have the 2010, but they have what I would call a simple elegance and are just stunning in person.
