Lightning strikes twice! Just got my second Quarter

    Fantastic find! I read in my 2016 coin guide that territorial gold (round or octagonal) is quite rare! How did you manage to obtain it? How much was it?

    I’ve always enjoyed looking at these in photograde. Cool to see a real one! Looks like a slightly rotated die there too.

    Both had $420 proxy bids/ when they finally came up in live auction/ the 1854 went for $850+comm./ the 1870 $550+comm.:cigar: I have 4 of these Territorial Issues so far. Five years ago/ I only had 5 US gold pieces!
    Upto 23 now/ I collect all AV coinage from 670BC to present, so far have 812 examples/ 90% are MS quality. Have examples from all centuries!
    Well I am off to work (right now I am doing a whole lot of leaf blowing) I do lawn maintenance.
