Ya know Taylor? I thought of that myself, after I posted the pic, but I don't think so. If you'll notice, all off the passanger cars remained in the upright position. If they had been turned over I think that dreadfull injuries might have been incured. Still, you make a valid point.....albeit not coin related, but heck, neither was mine.....
This was the first large cent I ever bought. Think it was $5. You don't see that it is shaped like a cup as well as the holes and polishing. Sitting with Penny Whimsy, Photoshop and a scanner, I was able to attribute this as a 1807/6 Sheldon 3A Large Cent. There were enough traces of Liberty, the date and the legend on the reverse to make that ID. Would be a fun topic to see the worst coin you can find but still attribute.. Scott
One of my latest eBay acquisitions (maybe I should post it in one of the "new acquisition" threads): But, hey, it was $14.36 shipped. I've been meaning to weigh it, but even ground down and drilled out, it's still at least $20 worth of silver -- and a good conversation piece.
Seem to have "misplaced" some of my coins. Here are some I found Half cent? front and back. Poor George
Not a total train wreck but I wasn't proud enough of it to post it in any other thread. Thought we had found a keeper but the reverse pretty much wrecks it for the whole coin.
