I have completed my Lincoln set. The last two for me were the two that are usually last for everyone. I posted the 1914-D back in post #26565. But I am way more excited about finally having this coin. The 1909-S VDB has been little more than a legend for the last 57 years or so since I started roll hunting Lincolns. Now it's real. These photos are just a placeholder for now. I will come back and replace them once I crack it out. It's in an NGC holder as MS63 BN. (Edit: They have been updated now.) Yep, I'm that crazy - to throw away the certification of a coin that is often counterfeited. The holder is badly scuffed and I'm not going to splurge on this without being able to see it clearly. So when I can see it without the plastic I'll let CoinTalk see it too. Update: In the holder Freed from captivity Full resolution photos. Expand and enjoy all blue, purple, and red that make up a “brown” coin.
