I don't have any new acquisitions to show but I will warn you now, this post may be a bit long, and mods if it needs to be moved, I understand. This is what happened at work tonight. Perhaps I should put it in that thread, but I thought I would put it here because it involves a Heritage Collection. Maybe it's no big deal, maybe some of you know about this collection, because I have no idea how big this man's personal collection is, but if NGC is putting your name on almost everything you own, then I have to wonder.

I met a guy who is an BIG coin collector. He's a Horse Jockey, owns a horse and has him racing this Friday at Pimlico. He showed me photos of his horse on his phone numerous occasions. His Horses' name is Senor' Star. His first name is Ron, and when he told me his last name it was so loud I couldn't hear. But either way, tonight at work, he came in and showed me two AG 3' Seated Liberty's. One was a quarter and one was a half dollar. Both 1858. Though the Half was an 1858 O. He threw them on the table and said, "you had some ms barber dimes? I have lot's of stuff man, what are you looking for? Look at this." He produced several sheets of paper stapled together and he proceeded to show me his last auction results from Heritage. Then he told me that NGC put his name on some of this collection. I asked him if he ever heard of Coin Talk and he told me he did but he didn't have time to browse the net on collector sites, though he would LOVE to check it out. So he took down the site address. I don't know when he's selling again through Heritage, but it was nice that he offered to sell me some pieces from his collection. Such a friendly guy. I asked him what exactly he was trying to do with his collection. Sell it? Trade? He told me both and again asked about my Barber dimes, lol. That was about it. I am still a bit unclear on if he wants to sell direct to buyer and bypass Heritage and sell privately. He told me he may be in Monday night and back Thursday and I offered to take him with me to see Julian Liedman in Silver Spring Wednesday. I have no idea if he will go or not. Any suggestions? What would you do?

Okay, so I DID find a new coin. My first IHC.
