[QUOTE="WingedLiberty, post: 2062400, member: 26030"]first off ... i just wanted to say that the following practice doesnt bother me ... but I am curious ... (curious enough to ask the question!)

And I am not calling out anyone in particular ... a lot of people seem to do this. So nobody freak out! Esp. those that recently posted any foreign coins (well foreign if you are from the US anyway!). Jello this means you esp since you posted at the top of this page. You know I LOVE YOU Jello -- you have great taste in coins. (so this is not about YOU specifically).

I notice that a lot of people post foreign coins in this US Coins Forum ... even though there is a separate forum for world (foreign) coins. Why is that? is there very little traffic in the world coins forum so a lot of world (foreign) coin collectors post here in order to get more feedback or more likes or more comments? Or is there another reason? Maybe some foreign coin collectors want to try to broaden the minds of US coin collectors to show them some foreign coins? Maybe there is another reason I can't think of? Perhaps many collectors collect both US and foreign so they don't think of those two categories of coins being separated (after all the US is part of the world!). And if you are from Europe, then US Coins are foreign coins. I suppose in fairness the other forum is called World Coins and not Foreign Coins.

In any event, it's a free country, and this practice doesn't bother me, but I was just curious why it happens so much. It seems to me that it would be a bit like me posting a lot of my US coins in the paper money forum, which I suppose is sort of an interesting thought, but then I wonder why there are so many forums created if everyone wants to post everything in a single forum? Maybe the host of this site should simply merge all the various forums into a single big forum? That would at least remove the confusion on which forum to post in! And perhaps we could all get a bit more of an education being seeing lots of different posts on different aspects.

On another front ...
