All known 1856 proof quarters have a peculiar and characteristic reverse die bulge extending entirely through the wing from AM of AMERICA, to the arrows and OL of DOL. Heavy die polish lines are located below the eagle.</p><p><br /></p><p>This is an amazing Cameo proof with full brilliance on both sides. A full strike is seen throughout, even on the most minute details. Impeccably preserved surfaces reveal just a couple of faint ticks left of the rock, and a couple more are noted to the right of the eagle's neck.
