Wow, that is a fantastic-looking coin, a lot of pizzazz and originality showing on the surfaces. Looks to me to be the B-3, BB-20 variety, Rarity-3. Two Leaves, Head of 1795 (sharp bust point), star 1 pierces curl, berries 9x10, berry under r. side of A(MERICA). Most survivors are in Fine condition (per Bowers) so yours is a lot better. BB Die State II, obverse lapped, left-side stars "spidery" and lowest curl split in two by star. Congratulations on a great acquisition!

Personally I have always wanted a 1799, I guess I just like the date. I remember when I was a kid in Dallas (before JFK) I went into a coin shop in a big department store downtown, maybe Sanger-Harris or Titche's (can't remember, I have slept since then), and saw a nice maybe XF 1799 for 40 bucks. Which of course I didn't have. I shoulda hit up my old man for it and done a long sales job. I probably could have talked him into it even though I probably would have had to do extra chores for six months.

Best Regards,

George
