I was looking for a mid-lower range MS Barber for a decent price, and when I saw this one it just blew my mind. I had to sell a lot of stuff to be able to save up for this one! The great thing about GC.com is that they make no mention of any type of toning...so it&#039;s relatively easy to cherry pick some beauties!</p><p><br /></p><p>Anyways...about the coin. The obverse has a really nice speckled rainbow toning -- turning from a green/blue to a mahogany red and dark yellow as you move across the fields. The reverse is the true stunner though! Deep sea blue turns to a sea foam green and golden yellow towards the rims...I&#039;ve seen few greater Barbers with such smooth and attractive toning. Most Barbers with such deep toning have TOO much toning in some areas (i.e.: brown/black toning). This coin has virtually none of that.</p><p><br /></p><p>By the way...sorry about the rant. But considering that this coin cost almost 4x the amount of any other single purchase I&#039;ve made in my entire collecting career, I felt it appropriate to write why I was willing to spend so much on it. <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie2" alt=";)" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /> I&#039;ll post some more pics when it comes in the mail!
