brg5658, I think your posts are bordering on the bizarre. Are you having a bad day or something? I pulled that 1941 Proof mintage figure from this website: http://lincolncentresource.com/Checklists/MintageFigures.html They say 32,600 for the 1941 ... but I do see the exact same mintage is listed for the 1942 ... so a typo looks very possible. I don't have the mintage's of the proofs memorized so I always just do a web search for the number. If your 2nd number (21,100) is correct, that's great news, as it means the coin is even rarer that I originally thought. All I wrote in my post was "I bought this coin (raw) on ebay for $30". Actually my winning bid was $30.09 and to be honest with you shipping costs never register with me. Ok, so I paid $3 for shipping (BFD!). I also NEVER add in the gasoline costs or wear and tear on my car (to the cost of coins) when I drive to my local coin dealer!!!! In any case, I provided the link to the auction for details. That is about as upfront as one can get! In terms of you wanting me to ADD IN slabbing costs or photographing costs that I incurred a month later to "the price I paid on ebay" for a coin ... that is totally ridiculous!! I wasn't reporting how much I had invested in a coin ... I was simply stating how much I paid for the coin when I bought it on ebay. Sheesh! In any case, based on your thought process, I think you forgot to tell me about some other additional "costs" that should be included in amount that I "paid" for the coin ("when I originally bought it on ebay"): Coin Insurance, Safe Deposit Box Fees, Plastic PCGS boxes to hold the slabs, gasoline costs driving the coins to the post office and/or my bank, the cost of my computer and my internet service, part of my mortgage costs and utilities, and time wasted on these boards responding to bizarre posts!! In terms of whether or not Phil's TrueView photo was accurate, here is a photo I took of this coin before I sent it off to PCGS. It was inside a plastic 2x2 flip (so the glare off the plastic obscured things a bit), plus my iPhone is not that great at focusing anyway. Here is Phil's TrueView photo for comparative purposes: (you make the call on whether or not you think the TrueView photo was accurate)
