I had to ask the dealer what was up with the nickel and apparently it&#039;s improper metal mix on the sheet they punch the planchets from. It&#039;s the copper bleeding through either it wasn&#039;t mixed properly or there was too much copper to nickel in the sheet back in the 50&#039;s. Still not sure if they just didn&#039;t care back then or if the coins struck on this sheet should have been pulled by quality control.</p><p>Second coin I thought was neat. It&#039;s a dealer box find the ash colored crecent from liberty to trust that runs through lincolns hair and forehead and another bit on his bust under the date is very light florescent green toning.
