Thank you. I am learning slowly, some coins are easier than others. It would help a lot if I had $2,000.00 worth of equipment ha!

Daniel Carr meets Santinidollar with this 1964D PL overstrike. I am amazed!:woot:

A raw 1938 proof, delivered an hour ago. It's still in the cardboard 2x2, so I'll get that hair off the obverse in a little while.

I know they're gold plated, but are they plated silver or plated bronze. Unless you're claiming those are solid gold? I've never seen nor heard of solid gold reproductions of $50 Pan Pac's and I'd be incredibly suspicious if I was you. If you paid for gold you were likely ripped off and sold gold plated products. If not I'd like to know who manufactured them as again I've only ever heard or seen gold plated silver or gold plated bronze versions.

Sorry again, I'll try to be specific. Silver, with gold plating. I wish they were real gold.

New pickup for my small capped bust quarters Browning variety set. This was an eBay pickup to take advantage of a 10% rebate today, and a Christmas present to myself. 2016 has been a slow year for me for this set, and this completes my 1832 varieties (only 2 for that year, so don't get that excited).

The strike is uncommonly strong for this type, with all stars and curls fully struck, along with the feathers around the shield. There is very little actual wear, but with a strike this strong, there would also be extra high point detail on the peak of the cap that would wear first, as has happened here.

Additional pics I requested from the seller to show the luster and color better than the scans, before I pulled the trigger:

Been buying love tokens lately, not sure if this is considered a love token or not but I thought it was cool none the less.

I agree they are interesting. I'm slowly putting together a type set of them.
