Was happy to score a very scarce child emperor of Rome, Hostilian, for a bargain price compared to what he normally goes for. He died from Plague. Hostilian (250 - 251 A.D.) AR Antoninianus O: C VALENS HOSTIL MES QVINTVS N C, radiate & draped bust right. R: MARTI PROPVGNATORI, Mars advancing right holding spear & shield. Rome Mint 2.24g 21mm RIC IV 177b; RSC 15.
Went to a show and happened to find the seller of my Merc. He still had the original cardboard it came in and it's mine now.
My newest in the last week or so, had some ebay bucks and was able to get a couple decent Walkers for my collection and a old large cent.
That Merc is like this group of Roosevelt Dimes I got a few years ago. They're still in this folder. All are 1964. FRONT: BACK: The GOODIES within: I turned this last one to see if there would be a clear band. Yep! I haven't moved any more, but I assume they'll be the same. What do you guys/gals think? Should I send this lot in to be graded and TrueViewed?
These old bank dime holders is how dad saved for our family vacations. What's funny is at the LCS the dealer has some in his exonuma binder for sale empty of course. They did bring back some fond memories though.
Thanks u guys are very welcoming I really am not the best photographer or speller, but your guys pics are amazing hands down; Hey look what I found tho u guys think its worth getting it graded please I really like to hear y'all opinions
Welcome to CT first no I wouldn't send it off to be graded, but you may want to consider self slabbing it . You can find a holder on eBay or try JPsCorner.com. When you post a photo you are offered two choices thumbnails as you chose or full size. Please use the full size, a few of us are 2 to 3 times older than you. Thanks Use can also down load a program called PhotoScape and it's free then crop the photo.
Debating whether to send this one in... I think it has a shot at 67. Hope this one gets a decent grade.
