The type 10 was used between 1987 through 1989, but by today's standards I could see this walker in 66. 67 I dont think is out of the question either but I think the slight spot on liberty's chest would keep it at 66.
Thanks Jester ... an absolutely amazing example of the rare 1-L combination. This variety has the unusual status of being both a pattern obverse die and subsequently a production obverse die. ;-)
I wouldn't worry about it. Not everyone looks at this thread. I don't know much about gold but from your pics I'd say you paid a fair price.
Start a thread with cropped pics of both obv and rev. There are a lot of gold folks that will help. The pics are a bit blurry, setting the coin on something soft would help.
Did you get it from a coin shop? Always looking for new places in RI. They are notoriously hard to grade so it make some time to get an expert answer. I'm sure they will insist on better pics as others have suggested.
Pics are new for me, lots to learn. I like to go to Heritage in Bellingham. A little bit of a drive, but I trust those guys.
Just signed for this one...common date, not so common grade...PCGS pop of 100...this coin sold by Heritage in Sept. 2005 for $1,610.00...I did not pay that much for it and I think she's a beauty.
