Just an update to my lowball rotated die... Looks like, even at this grade, she may be able to be confirmed as vam 52
I posted this in the error forum but figured I will post it here as well. It's leaving for NGC today.
Been looking for a nice example of this date for awhile now and very happy to add it to the fold. I think it pairs very nice with my recent 1810 HE pick up. BD-1 Small Star reverse variety - estimated 80-100 survivors, the only known die marriage with small stars for the date. 'dude
This coin, along with the three CBD posted, are absolutely amazing and I want them so bad, but I don't grow money on a tree in my backyard.
You have to plant it with a zlincoln. As it rots it nourishes the tree and is about the only thing they're good for
Was talking with a dealer friend of mine today who owns the LCS. We got talking about different series , and this coin came up. A 1885 three cent nickel . He told another customer and I that for 18 months he placed an ad in coin world looking for this coin for his set. He said he had 3 proofs offered to him. Never a mint strike coin. This is a keeper for sure.
Kind of an impulse buy, but I do need one for my dansco, just not this one. $26 dollars shipped after a $26 dollar ebay certificate. I think I did good. Its a MS66 D/S. Underneath the gold tone, it has blues pinks and purples.
Nice pick up ......I collect 38 D & S Buffalo's well all the varieties of the omm . These do tone nicely . Nice old Anacs holder too!
