This coin actually turned out to be MUCH nicer in hand. At least I think so. I was sorta worried about the reverse toning at the bottom being terminal, it's actually a nice shade of blue under decent lighting
Wasn't sure where to post this and secondably because it's not my coin... a friend of mine received this in his change a few weeks ago instead of a dime... pretty nuts... I usually see him around the holidays so I'm gonna ask him to bring it with him to get a look at it...
Not necessary. Well, considering the above, this may be necessary I hate you, Hugh. [I always want to do that!] Ditto, except for the Trade $'s part. I hate your friend!
As I was looking through some quarters I'd saved over the last few months I found this one. I can't really get a good photo of it to explain what it looks like but it has a weird finish on it. Its very shiny but does not look like a new coin nor does it look like a Proof coin, it has this weird fake plated metal finish like you'd find on an amusement park token or something. It stands out from the rest of the quarters because it actually looks fake. If you click on the image you can see a larger version
It's the 3/4 supposed over date. Picked it up for XF money to boot. I honestly didn't think I would find an AU coin for what I paid. And it turned out to be a nice one that will fit in well with my collection.
Yes Frank,That's where he first posted the coin. When I looked at it I knew right away it's a discovery piece.
