So it is. Oh well, excuse my ignorance. I stopped collecting when I was around 16 and just picked it up again at age 30. I am still quite rusy with some of the names of coins, numismatic terminology, etc. Thanks for pointing out my mistake. I'm sure it won't be the last time I get some names mixed up or use a wrong term, but believe me, I'm trying to catch up as fast as I can.
Agreed. Either way, I'd be happy to own it. And just who the hell are you exactly? I owe you absolutely nadda, either butt out and mind your own business, or the "Ignore" button is only one click away on my profile
Moving on and back on topic... Found this incredible find in a Subway "Take a penny-leave a penny" jar tonight. Couldn't believe it when I read the date. That makes it my second oldest pocket change Penny find only behind 1st place, 1911 and 3rd place going to my 1919
Don't get in hurry it will come back to you! Maybe will learn some new terms/ word's used today. But not to much has changed. ☺
Went to the store and in the change given back to me was this. A question, if you look at the top in the rim , starting at the "E" in STATES and ending at the right at the "E" in AMERICA, is this a die-crack ?
You are so lucky. I've gotten two Indian Head pennies before at the store, but none looked as good as yours. That's got to be a high VF grade or maybe even XF. Great find.
This is the worst thread in the history of the entire Universe. When I joined as a member a few days ago, I had only purchased one coin in the last 13 years. Because of the temptations after viewing this thread, I have bought 4 coins in the last week. This thing should come with a warning: "Danger, highly addictive, may be bad to your future finances." In other words, I'm adding one more coin to the inbound list: An 1869 two cent piece with CAC sticker...not sure what the significance of that is, but the green sticker looks cool.
I only have two arrows and rays, im working on hoarding seated quarters in above AU condition though!
That's one of my favorite Liberty designs. Similar to J-963. I also like J-900 liberty without the phyrgian cap.
