Anyone figure out the half? It's old it's got its original skin and its counterfeit!! base metal contemporary cast counterfeit. That looked like it circulated a fair amount

 

Air pockets gave it away as being cast...

 

Picked this up to finish the 1759-1951 part of my prime number set.

That and the mushy design and the date I like period counterfeits actually

Crusty original and a decent strike too I bought one 20 years ago thought it au -50 and pcgs called it 63

I don't collect that much actually. A type set and a trade dollar set is all I do buy and sell tho and can't resist a great coin with eye appeal. This Is one of those coins I greatly enjoy owning for awhile then I pass it along to another collector
