1946-D Lincoln Cent (PCGS MS66+RB). I think there was a whole roll of these salmon pink 1946-D's -- all toned similarly due to being in the same environmental conditions. I've seen a number of similar looking coins floating around. I think this one has the highest grade of those I've seen, but some of the MS66RB's I've seen have a nicer overall look. But this one is not too bad.
I've been Buffalo hunting this past week, bought a few toners and then happened upon a rare 1914/3 for a standard 1914 price of $160. Might be one of my favorite cherry picks of this year. An MS-63 has a book value of $6k...which is ridiculous of course, and mine is SEGS graded, but it still put a smile on my face! The seller knew what he had and was still gracious and honest enough to follow through with the transaction. First is a 1913. Now, this is my 3rd 1913 T1 and all have been rainbow toned which leads me to believe it must be fairly common on this particular date for some reason. But the new one is my favorite by far And here is the super awesome overdate.....which actually has me thinking about starting a Buff collection in high grade. Wonder if the other overdates and 3 leg will be tougher to get???? lol And......
And..... Here are a couple more! 1929 MS-64 in an OGH with some attractive rainbow toning on the obverse: This 1937-D is MS-65 in an old NGC soap box holder.....cool, but lighter tones.
I have had my eye on this coin for well over a year. I finally decided to f-it and get it. I just loved the look of the little provincial. Claudius (41 - 54 A.D.) Ӕ17 Gadara in the Syrian Decapolis O: SEBASTOS, laureate head right. R: GADAPA, turreted head of Tyche right, date HP before. Year 108 = 44/45 AD. 17mm 4.63g RPC 4816
Here is the start of my Capped Bust H10c set. The photos are pretty rough and will get better with time. Pretty excited to get such a nice coin to start this set off right. I plan to make the set as uniform as I can. ANACS EF-45
I knew something looked unusual in/on/around the Mintmark! 1938-D had issues with rpm's, but I had never heard of a 37-D having a similar error. Very interesting stuff, Thank you! The 1929 has something going on with the rim above the Buffalo's head! Not sure what could have caused that, but it's also interesting.
That is stunning, I love the colors on it. Plus I like all the details of a busty on the smaller size of a 5C. Very nice piece!
On the 29 it's the plastic from the slab. However the 1913 die break from the corner of the eye is cool !
That 37 D has a few other features like the broken feather under the two longer feathers. Notice the feather at the necks base then a tip like is floating free under the tip. The rpm is an wrpm -007 D/D/D/D Repunched D East,East,East, and East
Your 1914/3 is an WDDO-002 The 1913 looks to me as a RPD have a look at an enlarged image of the 1913 the 3 is doubled or over struck The 1937 D as well as the 1913 I would send into Wexler with these questions. As I'm seeing items not reported before.
